Game 4 - suggestions
#CREATIVE EDIT
Paco Palazon
Hi everyone,

Let's see some suggestions for the next editing game!

If you would like to see what other people can do with your image, post it into the "game 4 - suggestions" folder of our pixu account!

How?

First, make sure you are logged-out of pixu.
Then, go to: http://pixu.com/login
Log in with the following information:

password: Uno1eauis

Then upload your picture (only ONE, with as little processing as possible, so straight from the camera jpeg or "neutrally" processed raw) and name it with your name and surname, followed if you wish by the image title (ie: "Name Surname" or "Name Surname - Title").
Then log-out.

Your picture should now be visible with the others, here:

http://editinggame.pixu.com/gallery/176219

N.B: To Mycle, Gianni and Clyde, you are always welcome to submit another image even if yours was already selected for previous games!

I will leave that open for suggestions for a couple of days (depending on how many candidates we have, typically untill we get 4 or 5). After that, we will vote on which picture we choose for Game 4 and everyone will have a chance to show and share their skills at processing that image!

Reminder, the rules for this game are the following:

------
The copyright owner is and stays the photographer.
He allows others to download, edit and reupload his work
The others (editors ) only are allowed to download and edit and reupload for the purpose of the competition here
Editing includes the adding of elements captured by the editor.
No one is allowed to use elements, which are not in the copyright of themselves or the original photographer.

The editors are not allowed to use it in their own name without permission of the original photographer
They editor not allowed to upload it elsewhere without the permission of the original photographer

If the original photographer wants to use a picture processed by a editor anywhere, he must credit the processing photographer.

Paco, could you please add the link for log in, instead of the main page?

http://pixu.com/login takes you direct to the log in.

Here's my image, it's FULL of sensor spots, but that's just because I'm lazy...lol!

Straight from the camera, I shoot raw and jpg...so this is the jpg. One of the lead up images to my "Mother Nature's Revenge" shot.

OK, I just edited my first post, hope it is clearer and simpler now.

Wow, great image, Mel! The abandonned umbrella (I'm guessing you put it there for the shot, but still...), the threatening sky, the "infinite" water... makes me a bit anxious! hehe.

Thanks Paco, it's so much faster for me to go straight to the log in page, because I ALWAYS try to log in at the register part....and so I waste a couple of copy and pastes before I realise. (I'm such a ditzy old woman....lol!)

The scene of this image WAS very threatening, and yes, I was anxious too! Amazingly it was very very quiet whilst that shelf cloud was building up and getting closer....the umbrella wasn't even blowing about!

If you want, I can add the CR2 file to my dropbox...

Let's wait till tomorrow morning, GMT, to give people a chance to add a suggestion.
If nobody shows up, we'll make your raw file available. Dropbox requires that other people also have dropbox installed, right? I'd rather we use a system that doesn't require people to install new software, like uploading to Clyde's FTP as we did in previous games. That being said, it does require that you (but not the others) have a software to upload to that ftp, I think, like FTPzilla or something like that...

Here comes the scoop of the week:

The picture for next game will be... Mel's "Red Umbrella"!

As soon as we manage to get the raw file available to all of you I'll open a new thread as always.

Cheers,
paco.

You don't need dropbox to get this file, as far as I know you just need to click the link...

Hi all,

here is my version of Mel's picture:

http://editinggame.pixu.com/photo/176916/176219

As usual, i decided to convert it into black and white. To make the umbrella more clear and isolated, i increased the red colour.

Best

Mycle, I have "moved" (copy-pasted) your post to the other thread: "game 4 - Mel Brackstone". I'd prefer to continue the discussion there if you don't mind.
