Cool!
I havent been here since the change of the site and now come here and find this forum about shooting film.
I´m new to film. I got myself a Nikon fm2n a few months ago and been shooting with it and learning to develop, have developed about 10 rolls now and I love it, now have 4 rolls waiting to be developed.
The fm2 seems perfect, theres nothing useless. Only electronic is the meter for exposing. The body seems solid and firm, have already took a dive in the puddle, but still works.
I have 50mm 1.8D and 85mm 1.4D, other lenses I have are for DX format, but I dont feel needing more, maybe some wider lens in the future, but the fm2 with a 50mm lens seems the perfect kit, you just need zoom with your feets :)
I really feel that since having the film equipment, my photography has improved. You really need to think what you´re shooting. You might see something and you really have to look what you see to make the decision will it make a good picture, you dont look at it from the back of your camera afterwards. I also noticed this few days ago, when shooting portraits of my friend, shót with film and digital, didnt take so many shots with digital either, only the ones that needed, but I´ve been heading in this direction with digital also before the film though.
Not entirely about gear, but I hope to get forgiveness :)
p.s waiting the postman to bring me Mamiya RB67 ProS :)

Welcome to the Group Janne, have you some images shot with the FM2 to share? I use a FE2 a lot and also have a F100. I have a wide collection of Nikon prime lenses going from 20mm to 300mm, most are AiS but a few are AF-D.

I recently started doing Film photography, I'm 20 years old so I do remember film, but never really used it myself.

I'm a Leica shooter, I normally shoot the M9-P Digital Leica Rangefinder camera, but I wanted to start doing film photography as well, so I bought a Leica M6TTL, this camera is basically the same as my M9-P the only difference is that it takes film instead of SD cards. They have the same lens bayonet so I can use all my lenses on both cameras.

I started to do home developing of B&W film a few months ago and have been happy with the results!

I do the scanning with a Nikon Coolscan 4000.

I hope to learn some here of other people shooting film.

Thanks!

It's my mom on the left, and my little brother on the right, waiting at the dentist, on a early morning.

Thanks for watching.

I like it. I like the subject and the moment. The big expanse of white is a bit dominating...

Thanks for including the image details!!

Hi everyone
I'm a newbie to film. Well actually I used film many years ago, but wasn't doing anything interesting with my photography. Now I've developed a taste (and a small amount of skill) with my DSLR, and so I've been tempted to go back and buy myself a film rangefinder (Canonet QL17)!! So excited - just shot my first roll of b/w film and am waiting to see the results (especially since I metered using my eyes and the Sunny 16 rule, which I have never done). I hope I can seek your advice as I delve more into film photography. Thank you!
